From booking to done

Our repair process

The same five steps no matter where you’re mailing in from.

  1. Diagnose

Book online and mail it in. We run a full diagnostic under the microscope before quoting anything.

  2. Quote & approve

You get a transparent, itemized estimate. We never start paid repair work without your explicit OK.

  3. Repair

Component-level work at the bench — chips, ports, and traces replaced individually, not the whole board.

  4. Quality check

Stress-tested and inspected before it leaves the shop, with your data left exactly as you gave it to us.

  5. Ship it back

We package it up and ship it back to you anywhere in the country.

Why it’s different here

Repaired, not replaced

Most repair counters only know how to swap a whole assembly. We diagnose the failure and fix the part that actually broke.

Typical repair kiosk

The “parts swapper”

  • One broken chip means the whole motherboard gets replaced.
  • Complex repairs get shipped off to another facility.
  • “It can’t be fixed — you need to buy a new one.”
Tim Can Fix It

Component-level expert

  • We replace the individual chip, capacitor, or port — not the whole board.
  • All work done in-house, on our own bench.
  • Your game saves and files are treated as priority one.
  • Every repair backed by a 90-day shop warranty.

General & policies

How much will my repair cost?
Every repair is unique, so cost depends on the issue and parts needed. Fill out our online quote form or bring your device in for a diagnostic — we’ll always give you a transparent estimate and get your approval before any paid work begins.
How long will it take?
Most standard repairs are done in 1–3 business days once your device is on the bench. Complex motherboard repairs or special-order parts take longer — we’ll give you an estimated timeline after the initial diagnostic.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes — a 90-day limited shop warranty on all repairs and parts we provide. If the original issue recurs within 90 days, we fix it again at no extra labor charge. This excludes software issues, custom modding, and new physical or liquid damage.

Mail-in service

Can I mail in my device from outside Pittsburgh?
Yes — we repair devices from across the country. Package it securely, ship it to our repair lab, and we’ll diagnose, repair, and ship it back once the work is approved and complete.
